We spread love through the simple joy of birthday parties for children who might not otherwise be celebrated.

We also provide take home "Birthday Boxes" to CASA/GAL and foster children through Seeds of Hope. These birthday boxes provide a way for families with limited opportunities to have the tradition of a birthday party in their home.
Meet Our Staff
Shelly Calvert
Founder and Director
"Over-loves people"
Shelly Calvert is the founder and executive director of We Love Birthday Parties. She loves her children most (as seen above), but nothing is more rewarding to her than to see a child light up with joy as he or she is being celebrated. As a graduate of The Ohio State University, she's obviously a Buckeye's fan, but she loves parties more than football. Shelly lives in Troy, OH, with her husband, Paul, and two black lab dogs, who she also over-loves. Shelly and Paul have two grown children, Jordan (above), who acts like she doesn't like hugs, and Jacob (not pictured), who actually does likes hugs. Both kids were spoiled on their birthdays.

Julie is an amazing "party girl!" She leads our monthly birthday parties at community centers. Julie joined the Navy after high school and now, at the age of 24, she is a licensed single foster mom. She also has her own pet-sitting business where she makes lots of animal friends. The love and fun she brings to our program is contagious!
